Dear Valued Customers,
On June 19, 2020, County Executive Marc Elrich announced that Montgomery County would be entering Phase 2 of the reopening plan. In this phase we are allowed to open to 50% of our seating capacity. Starting June 22, 2020, we will be reopening and, to ensure social distancing, all tables will be 6 feet apart. All customers are still required to wear a face covering when not seated. Consequently, we are asking that all dine-in customers place a reservation and order before arrival for faster service (through the special requests tab in the RSVP page or over the phone). We also ask that customers would let us know the length of their stay, also through the special requests tab on the RSVP page, to help us patronize other customers. This is so that we may have enough time to disinfect and sanitize the seating area for others. You can access our menu at shebarockville.com. To reserve a table, please select the RSVP button above or call us at (301) 881-8882.

The Tiny Grain with Big Health Benefits
Teff leads all the grains – by a wide margin – in its calcium content, with a cup of cooked teff offering 123mg, about the same amount of calcium as in a half-cup of cooked spinach. Teff is high in resistant starch, a newly-discovered type of dietary fiber that can benefit blood sugar management, weight control, and colon health. It’s estimated that 20-40% of the carbohydrates in teff are resistant starches. A gluten-free grain with a mild flavor, teff is a healthy and versatile ingredient for many gluten-free products.
